DonPiston
ENRU

Don Piston reads your BMW.

Faults in plain words, live values, guided tests and a second opinion from AI. From a laptop, over an ENET cable.

Don Piston: a steel piston with wide eyes, a mad grin and a moustache waxed straight up.

One press. Every system.

An example read, invented for this page. Point at a box and its part of the car lights up.

What it does

Faults

Every module's fault memory, each code in words, with the mileage it was recorded at. Clear one module or all of them.

Live values

Gauges and values by system. Graded only where a limit can be defended, otherwise shown as they are.

Logger

Pick the values, record the curves, keep the log as CSV.

Guided tests

Raised idle, smooth running, the alternator, the battery at start, full-load pulls. One command at a time, then a result you can read.

Service

Oil, brakes and the other service resets, and the resets that follow a repair. Two presses each, and the state before is saved first.

Ask the AI

Describe the symptom in your own words. The model answers with suspicions, the evidence for each and a way to check it.

What you need

An ENET cable. Nothing else.

OBD on one end, Ethernet on the other. You bring a BMW of the F or G series and a 64-bit Windows laptop.

FAQ

Which cars does it work with?

BMW F and G series over ENET. It is developed and tested on an F13 640d diesel, and more cars come next. The guided tests are written for that car for now.

Can it change anything in my car?

Reading never does. It writes only from a short, reviewed list: clearing faults and service resets, each after you confirm it. No coding, no programming, no flashing. The guided tests ask first, too.

Does it replace a dealer tool or a workshop?

No. It shows what the car remembers and what is worth checking. Repairs, coding and programming stay with the proper tools and people.

Is the AI's answer a diagnosis?

No. It is a suspicion with a way to check it. Confirm it mechanically before you replace anything.

What is sent to the AI?

Only when you press the button: the car's series, the faults, the values and your own words, to Anthropic, which runs the model. The VIN and raw bus traces stay on your PC.

Does it need the internet?

Only for the AI. Reading, tests and logs work without it.

Is it connected with BMW?

No. DonPiston is an independent program.

Which languages?

English and Russian.

When can I download it, and what will it cost?

Soon. The Windows version is being tested at real cars, and Android comes after it. The price will be announced with the release.
